    • About

This is the live feed from what's going on in the streets. http://www.facebook.com/monctongeneralassembly for more info on the democratic process of our decisions!

    • Description

OK, so there is some confusion because there are 2 Moncton FB pages.

This page Occupy Moncton, will be used primarily as a place for "messages from the street". Our occupiers downtown will use this space to post updates, make requests, etc along with posting pictures, videos and articles that might educate or inspire Occupiers everywhere.

The other page, Occupy Moncton General Assembly, is the place to discuss the issues, debate local issues and demands and otherwise organize ourselves as a General Assembly to plan for future actions like additional mass protests, workshops and teach-ins, media campaign, etc.

There is room for everyone in this movement so make your voices heard. Make sure you come out to our general Assemblies each Saturday at 11am and the Occupiers at City Hall could always use more people on the picket lines each day.

Occupy Moncton General Assembly Facebook page[edit]

"NON-VIOLENTLY sending a message to the financial sector worldwide. Canada too is under the same bind of freedom because of monetary policy. Occupy in solidarity with #OccupyWallStreet, #OccupyToronto and the thousands of other occupations beginning on October 15th and running until we get the societal change we need and des...erve.

We are determined to recognize the grievances of our citizens with regards to our Economic and Financial Policies. It has become clear that there is a great deal of unethical and unjust behaviour among our corporate elite, and elected officials.

We will propose demands that will ensure of the eradication of economic and social inequality, while putting an end to corporate greed and bad governance. We invite all to join us in occupying Moncton and taking part in our General Assemblies.

We are the 99%. You are the 99%. And The 1% doesn't want You to know how powerful We are!
